as stepping forward

then springing sideways
oncoming train
of thought
hiding under the cover when the noise hit
WALL
what a shouting

strangely protecting the neck seems to comfort with large swatches of flowing coloured village history wrapped around the body forging rivulets of acid cuts shallow in parts deeper in others where it sat pooled and we swam laughing holding hands till fall came to take it screaming

a visit with the
elders
nodding
looking at each other silent
they shall talk after we are gone
